CUP HANDLE

From June 14th to 29th, 2025, the exhibition of <guse ars> titled "CUP HANDLE" will be held at amanai.

<guse ars> is an art duo based in Tokyo, consisting of Takahiro Murahashi and Satomi Iwase. Their art project, "Washed Pattern," reconstructs the patterns of ceramic fragments that have washed up in the sea or rivers to create new patterns.

Exhibition
This exhibition is for new works from the washed pattern series. "Washed pattern" is a project in which new patterns are created by reconstructing the patterns of ceramic fragments that have washed up on the sea or in rivers. This time, titled "CUP HANDLE," they expresses the pattern of an imaginary cup with a handle. Fragments of ceramic with different origins have been maneuvered by the waves to come together and form a single cup. The exhibition venue, amanai, is a shop/gallery that proposes everyday items as tools. Please enjoy looking at the cups on display. Solo works on the same theme will also be on display. Their work will be available online from 21st June.
