Okamochi  are carrying boxes that were used in Japan in the past. These are shallow boxes with a long, horizontal handle. The Okamochi reinterpreted by ke-shiki are characterized by their beautiful design and light appearance.

Originally, an Okamochi was simply a large box with a handle for carrying food, but this version was created as a versatile tool that can be used for various purposes to suit modern lifestyles.

The handle has a bifurcated structure resembling a suspension bridge, supported at four points, which ensures stability when lifted. This visual "openness" also contributes to its light appearance.

Its biggest feature is that a separately sold tray can be combined with it as a lid. By freely combining trays of different sizes, the range of storage and usage expands even further. You can carry food or tea ceremony tools, take it on picnics or camping trips, or use it as an organizer for your hobbies or around your desk. It naturally fits into various aspects of daily life. The S size might even be suitable as a tobacco tray for tea ceremonies.

The surface is glass-coated, making it resistant to dirt and suitable for everyday use without worry. As it is used, the wood color will deepen, becoming a long-lasting companion in your life.

The Okamochi is a traditional yet new tool that makes the act of carrying enjoyable and free.
