Okamochi are carrying boxes that were used in Japan in the past. These are shallow boxes with a long, horizontal handle. The Okamochi reinterpreted by ke-shiki are characterized by their beautiful design and light appearance.
Originally, an okamochi was simply a large box with a handle for carrying food, but it was created as a tool that can be used for a variety of purposes to suit modern lifestyles.
The handle has a bifurcated structure, like a suspension bridge, and by supporting it at four points, stability is achieved when lifted. Visually, the open design creates a light appearance.
The biggest feature is that you can combine it with an optional tray as a lid. By freely combining trays of different sizes, the range of storage and usage expands even further. You can carry food and tea utensils, take it on picnics and camping trips, or use it as a storage box for your hobbies or to organize your desk. It naturally fits into various aspects of daily life.
The surface is glass-coated, making it resistant to dirt and suitable for everyday use. The wood's color will deepen with use, becoming a long-lasting companion in your life.
The okamochi is a traditional yet new tool that makes the act of carrying enjoyable and free.
