Haruna Inada Exhibition

From October 9th to 20th, 2026, we will have an exhibition of ＜Haruna Inada＞.

Haruna Inada was born in Tokyo. After graduating from a University of Art and Design with a degree in Environmental Design, she discovered natural dyeing while continuing her creative activities. No two colors created from plants are ever the same. Drawn to these complex yet soft colors, she taught herself how to make bags while learning natural dyeing, and has been selling naturally dyed and waxed canvas bags since 2020.

The visible colors of plants, and the hidden colors beneath them. The plants around us contain an incredible array of colors. She extracts these colors, dyes fabric, cuts it, and tailors it into bags. The colors obtained from plants are vibrant yet somehow gentle. The complex hues inherent in the plants themselves reveal a rich variety of expressions, unlike the uniform colors created artificially.

By applying beeswax, the fabric develops a unique texture. From its initial crispness, it gradually softens and becomes more comfortable to hold over time. This transformation is another charm of Inada's bags.

During the exhibition period, you will have the opportunity to see works created from various natural plant dyes, including her standard bags. The colors extracted from nature vary depending on the plants available at the time and the production process. Because it is difficult to reproduce the same color, each bag has a unique expression.

Since these are items for daily use, we hope you will enjoy their transformation over time. The colors from natural dyes, the texture from beeswax, and the changes that occur with continued use.
