A sculpted carafe with a sleek curve. "Carafe" means pitcher in French, and it can be used to hold a variety of drinks, including wine and juice, in addition to water.
The product is manufactured by Koizumi Glass. Since its founding, the company has melted borosilicate glass (heat-resistant glass) in-house and is one of the few glass manufacturers in Japan to produce its products by hand. Each carafe is blown into the glass one by one using their reliable techniques, and although it is a product, it has a subtle individuality and seems to have a soul.
"The light and shadow cast by the carafe, the new-born greenery swaying on the water, the space they create is truly a beauty of AWAI (in-between in Japanese)."
Carafe AWAI embodies the sculptural beauty pursued by Studio Glass Work's Hiroshi Mitsuishi. The ripples of the thick glass linger and spread throughout the space. It is a masterpiece that will brighten up your everyday life, and even when used as a vase for a single flower. Comes with a paulownia box.
The set includes a carafe and a glass stopper. The glass stopper in the set cannot be sealed to protect against dust. A < sealing stopper > can be purchased as an option.
