Mr. Kazuo Ishikawa, the craftsman and founder, focused on this Owaki hair, and has been involved in every step from selecting the material to designing and manufacturing the product so that it can be used as a brush.
The material of the grip is Yaku cedar and has a reddish brown color. It is characterized by its finely wavy, layered wood grain. The oval shape allows you to hold the brush as if you were holding it directly, and is designed to prevent force from escaping. The bristles are hand-planted into over 200 holes to create a surface that allows for powerful brushing without damaging the fabric.
