A tile born from the art project <WASHED PATTERN>. A porcelain tile with a blue pattern on a white background.
WASHED PATTERN What is This is a project to pick up pieces of pottery washed ashore in seas and rivers, extract patterns from the collected pottery pieces, reconstruct them, and create new patterns. Inflating the image of the pattern, multiplying several, and sometimes betraying it to create the pattern.
Patterns created from pottery fragments It is also an attempt to raise it to a single tile and return it to human hands. And someday it may break into pieces and drift somewhere else. It expresses the irreversible yet repeating cycle of human activity and nature.
The blue and white color scheme is reminiscent of porcelain, creating an organic pattern. It might be fun to choose your favorite pattern while comparing the pattern names.
Not only can it be used as a room interior, but it can also be used as a plate or coaster for small dishes.
* Because each item is made by hand, there may be slight individual differences in pattern and size.
